Connie was honored by the Footlighters Club as Entertainer Of The Year, December 12 at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. Connie’s dear friend, Neil Sedaka was among the entertainers who honored the First Lady of Record. In May of 2010 Connie Francis was named the National Chairperson for Mental Health America's "S.T.A.R." campaign (Stress, Trauma, Awareness and Recovery.) Through her partnership with MHA, she will lend her voice to address the importance of mental health issues and the need to appropriately treat them. A specific focus is on the returning veterans of war.
